Dear fellow tasters,
Let’s digress a little bit from food and talk about something else, shall we? How about wedding? Why wedding? Because it’s a once in a lifetime moment, well at least for those who believe in the “till death do us part” thing. I am certain most of you would want a perfect beautiful wedding, one that will always remind you of the most sacred love between the bride and the groom. However, planning a wedding is no easy feat and can be a stressful experience. Surely you don’t want to turn into bridezilla and groomzilla on your wedding day, do you?
Worry not, nowadays you can find out useful information for planning a wedding on the Internet and one website that you definitely want to check out is bridestory.com. Bridestory is a recently launched premium wedding directory that aims to help brides-and-grooms-to-be to browse for inspirations and information from various wedding vendors to arrange their ultimate dream wedding. Well, let’s take a look at the website, why don’t we?
The Bridestory website looks pretty minimalistic in black and white with just a splash of pink on the logo. There are search functions for wedding vendor category, location and budget, as well as vendor name. Then, if you scroll down you can browse for inspirations in a Pinterest-like layout and you can also filter by category and, this is the part that I love, by color. So let’s say your favorite color is purple, you can easily browse around for all things purple for your wedding.
Since it’s my first time visiting the website, I choose to create a new account. You can also login with your existing Facebook, Google+ or Yahoo! Account. As a registered user, you can save and review vendors. There is also an option to enter your wedding details, such as wedding date, size, budget and location that will enable Bridestory to optimize your experience with the website.
With my account registered, first thing as a food blogger, I would like to look for a caterer for the wedding party. Surely I’d want my guests to have a wonderful time with sumptuous and scrumptious food fit for a very special occasion. What I would do is use “Browse Inspiration” and choose “Catering” on the Vendor Projects. Let’s see, these bride-and-groom cake pops from Chocolique sure look adorable, don’t they?
Next important thing for me in a wedding is what to wear. Here’s what I find from the Men’s Formal Wear category. I bet you will say I look dashing in this white suit from The Cufflinks Store. And what about those bride-and-groom cufflinks? Ain’t they cute or what? I’m so getting a pair for my own wedding!
Looking at all these wedding-related items sure makes me long to plan for my own wedding soon. Well, rather than me walking you through all Bridestory features, why don’t you do your own exploring and browsing and have fun in your wedding planning? Cheers!
