Dear fellow tasters,
Welcoming the Ramadhan month, Collage all-day-dining restaurant at Pullman Hotel Jakarta Central Park presents Ramadhan Delights, a selection of mouth-watering Mediterranean cuisines prepared by Chef Ayman Ahmed from Pullman Dubai. Last Thursday for break fasting dinner with other food bloggers, I was invited to sample them.
It is always good to break fasting with something sweet or usually called tajil, so first I grabbed a bowl of kolak and sweet dates. Then there were some Mediterranean cold appetizers to choose from, such as the hummus, the dark pink beetroot mutabel and the spicy eggplant musagaah which I liked. For warm appetizers, I tried the lentil soup (tasted a bit bland) and kebeh labanyah, a vegetable-filled samosa-like pastry with sour creamy sauce which I really enjoyed.
Other dishes that I also tasted were the shikh elmahshi (potato and egg plant stuffed with minced meat served with tomato sauce), chicken topkabi (chicken stuffed with raisin rice), sengari fish (tasty dory fish with onion, capsicum, and herbs), and mixed grill on skewers such as the lamb kofta and delicious sish tawok. I was too full to try the shawarma chicken but it sure looked appetizing.
Thank you Ms. Rita and Pullman Jakarta Central Park for the Ramadhan Delights dinner and introducing me to delectable Mediterranean cuisines.
Have a blessed Ramadhan!
