Monolog

monolog quality coffee co.

Dear fellow tasters,

From Hacienda, my friends and I wandered around Plaza Senayan just for the sake of feasting our eyes after a feast for our bellies.  We ended up in a recently-opened coffee shop, Monolog or Monolog Quality Coffee Co. in longer version, which is located on the revamped ground floor car parking.  For a new coffee-offering place, it appeared pretty popular judging by the flocking crowd that occupied the elongated cafe bar and lounge area that holiday afternoon.  Ambiance was sleek, minimalistic, urban-meets-rustic but no less warm, cozy, and inviting.

We only ordered some coffee and tea on that occasion, but the menu supposedly offers some food selections, which by look, hearsay, and word-of-blog, tasted quite good.  My friend’s cappuccino was served love-struck and pretty.  I didn’t get a try but she said it tasted pretty excellent.  My order was the iced orange caramel latte, recommended by the waiter.  The caramel flavor was not really strong, maybe not to overwhelm the coffee but the introducing of orange zest in it made quite a unique experience.

The taster’s notes :
Favorite drink – only get to taste the iced orange caramel latte
What to try next time – try other coffee and the all day breakfast menu

  1. Penasaran sama makanannya, terakhir kesini cuman ngopi doang dan rasa kopinya menurut saya jauuuuhhhh dibandingkan anomali, tapi pastry nya enak-enak..katanya chef nya langsung dari jepang..

  2. Wah sama dong belum sempet coba makanannya, tapi waktu ke sana croissantnya coklat2 kayak gosong gitu, apa memang begitu hehehehe

  3. Halo, salam kenal. Febee, jauh dr anomali mksdnya way worse? Betul chef-nya dr jepang, both for their western kitch n pastry section. Try beef brisket, potato wedges, fried calamry salad, banana muffin and their mayan chocolate also nice 🙂

  4. Hello Daniel, salam kenal juga. Ugh, belum pernah coba Anomali sih hehe… Will try your recommendation next time around 😀
