Dear fellow tasters,
More from my mobile photo archives, this one was from a lunch visit with a friend to a Thai restaurant at Plaza Indonesia, Kuppa, of course with a 50% credit card discount. I think this place has existed there for quite a while and the concept is contemporary Thai cuisine, so the ambiance is more modern minimalist than ethnic traditional Thai, although when I dined there, the place looked as if it had seen its best years, glancing from the worn out menu books.
Our orders that afternoon were the chicken green curry, the fried fish with Thai sauce, and the fish cakes. The green curry came with prata bread (our choice instead of rice because we already ordered separate bowls of rice), and they tasted quite delicious. The fried fish was enough for sharing for two and it also tasted quite nice, though I couldn’t help but noticing that the Thai sauce looked more like the bottled version that you could easily find in supermarket, not freshly prepared. Lastly, the fish cakes were pretty tasty with balanced herbs and spices flavor. Overall, I would say the lunch was quite enjoyable. The food was just above average, but I guess the premium place might just encourage me for a revisit.
The taster’s notes:
Favorite dish – the green curry and fish cakes
