tenderloin steak in herb balsamic reduction @ capital grille

Dear fellow tasters,

Credit card promo is always a good excuse to eat out.  This time, my friends and their beloved cc were the ones who asked me out for a 50% off dinner at Capital Grille, a steakhouse located in Senopati area.  The discount was for non-wagyu main course items only, thus at first we ordered the angus prime tenderloin steak, montecristo sandwich, and king prawns with a side choice of parmesan baked potato.  Later on, we still feel a bit famished, so we ordered another menu, the tenderloin steak in herb balsamic reduction.

As for the taste, overall we pretty much enjoyed the dinner.  The steak menu seemed to be their specialty.  The angus prime tenderloin steak was juicy and tender.  The tenderloin steak in herb balsamic reduction was also quite delectable.  What we loved from both was the unique tasty small-bowl-like bread side dish which was filled with some delicious brown sauce.  Other than that, the king prawns looked more like ‘pawn’ prawns and the sandwich tasted just average.

The taster’s notes:
