I-ta Suki

suki with clear tom yum broth @ i-ta suki

Dear fellow tasters,

Shabu-shabu, suki, hotpot, steamboat restaurants are literally all over the place nowadays.  Unlike Japanese shabu-shabu place which offers mostly meat, seafood or other raw ingredients, a Thai/Chinese suki restaurant usually comes with additional various stuffs to put in your hotpot – assorted dumplings, beef balls, seafood balls, noodles, mushrooms, fish belly, meat or seafood-rolled veggies, different types of tofu and many more, you name it.

Kuppa

kuppa

Dear fellow tasters,

X.O Suki & Cuisine

one hotpot double taste @ x.o suki & cuisine

Dear fellow tasters,

crispy duck salad @ coca suki

Dear fellow tasters,

Credit card promos are a great excuse to dine out and that was the case when my friend and I tried out Coca Suki on one occasion when they have 30% CC discount.  We ordered one of the suki set for two which already includes salad, appetizer, steamed rice, and dessert.  I also had the thai iced tea to drink which has always been a favorite.  We both loved the crispy duck salad which was a wonderful combination of tangy, spicy and salty with delightful flavor from the shreds of crispy duck.   Continue reading

Jittlada

beef satay @ jittlada

Dear fellow tasters,

Gosh, it’s been ages since I wrote the last post.  Merry Christmas to all fellow tasters and in this festive season, a lot of great dining has happened so I’ve decided to continue blogging. This post is a little bit about a Thai restaurant which reminds me of a friend’s farewell dinner several years ago in the main Jittlada restaurant located at Jalan Sultan Agung.  Nowadays, you can find a Jittlada outlet almost at every mall around Jakarta and this post and rating are based on a visit to a mall outlet in Senayan City shopping center.
