Dear fellow tasters,

On the third day in Hong Kong, my friend suggested that we tried a one Michelin-starred dim sum place, called Tim Ho Wan.  Wow, of course I was thrilled and curious about it.  I suppose this would be my first time going to a Michelin-starred restaurant.  So, using google map to traverse the streets of Mong Kok, we managed to find the restaurant, simply by noticing the queue forming outside the shop.

Paradise Dynasty Food Tasting

Last Sunday, I was acting as a plus-one for a friend, Sinta Lucia, who was getting an invitation to a food tasting event organized by goorme.com at a newly-opened casual dining Chinese restaurant at one of Jakarta’s premium shopping mall, Plaza Senayan.  The restaurant is called Paradise Dynasty and located at level P5, just across from the cinema, right in the neighborhood of high-end restaurants, bars, and clubs such as Marché, Oyster, Avorio, X2, Rustique, Sushi Sei, and many more.   Continue reading

A dim sum brunch on a late Saturday morning is always a thing to look forward to and one of the places to go for all-you-can-eat dim sum is Furama, an oriental restaurant located on Hayam Wuruk boulevard, central Jakarta.  Furama serves up Cantonese cuisine, Teochew night porridge, and many other Chinese cuisine but that day my friends and I went there for the dim sum.   Continue reading

Eastern Seafood Restaurant

Dear fellow tasters,

Back when I was living in Karawaci through college and my first job, this Chinese restaurant was one of the favorite spots for birthdays and gatherings, especially because of the delicious all you can eat dim sum.  It used to be for just less than 50k for the AYCE dim sum per pax, the last time I went there, it was still less than 100k, so still pretty much a good value for money.

The Cafe, Hotel Mulia

It’s been ages since the last post, so I tried to write something short (I hope) about The Cafe at Hotel Mulia Senayan. It’s one of the dining area at the 5-star hotel which offered all-you-can-eat international food ranging from sushi/sashimi to dim sum, from Indian curries to assortments of mouth-watering desserts.
